Returning with a Giveaway

Pin It Now!

I am back and this time I should be around a bit before going off again, at least I hope so. I have survived the camping trip ( I never doubted that I would really, apart from maybe those hours I was kept awake during one very stormy night), getting back late on Thursday night. My sister and I had a lovely time. (Thank you I. for taking me with you!) Ireland has changed quite a bit since I last went there in 1995 it is definitely a great place to go on holiday.

Because I have been gone for so long and haven't been able to blog, I thought I'd do a little something special on my return. I brought back a cookbook from Ireland to give away to one of you. It's called The Irish Spirit by Margaret M. Johnson and contains recipes inspired by Irish drinks. So, if you like cooking with booze, or just like cookbooks and would like to add this one to your collection, all you need to do for a chance to win is to leave a comment on this post before 31st August 2008.

I'll be randomly drawing one name out of a hat once the deadline is gone, to determine the winner. If you're the lucky person I will then post out the book to you wherever you are.

Good Luck!

Glad you had a fantastic camping trip. I hope the weather was kind. It hasn't been very summery here in Cornwall the past few weeks!

Glad to see you back, I only discovered your blog just before you went away so it was quite a wrench for you to disappear so soon!

Looking forward to hearing about your holiday, Fred and I went to Ireland a couple of years ago (before we were blogging) and were stunned at the portion sizes, some wonderful fish though.

Great idea on the giveaway.

Being of Irish descent, collecting cookbooks, and enjoying cooking, this would be wonderful!

So jealous of your trip to Ireland, although I'm not the camping type.

Hi Sylvie

Living with an Irishman means that I wake every morning to a little of the Irish sprit right here in England!

So pleased that you had a great holiday!

Welcome back!

... I'm now contemplating all the yummy things one could make with Jameson.... Hmmm... Cake? Brownies? Maybe we could even add a shot to those banana bread muffins you posted before you left?

I've never been to Ireland, but I've been to Scotland. I wonder what the culinary differences are. Thanks for the giveaway!

yeay, I'd love to get the book, so I'm joining in.

Glad you enjoy your visit to Ireland. I really want to go. As for camping, my husband refuses it categorically, so I shall have to find another partner in crime... :D

We've been to Cornwall and loved it. I definitely recommend it.

Looking forward to your Ireland photos!

I love your blog AND German food - I lived for 7 years in Munich - and plan to open my own cookery school one day - so your cookery book prize would be a source of even more inspiration!!!! Good to have you back after your vacation.

What a great adventure it must have been! I always love to read about traveling and new places. And nice of you to bring back a souvenir! The book looks rather cool, though I admit not knowing Irish food that well.

Great to have you back! :)

I was just viewing the beautiful pics you took while in Ireland. What a beautiful place! I would love to some day go there on vacation. As for your cookbook drawing, my Hubby is an Irishman and would love to win this cookbook. It would give him some meals that he could cook for himself since I am low carbing these days and high carb foods are not on our menu anymore. lol

Here's keeping our fingers crossed.

Thanks for the opportunity and have a great day! :)
